COMPREHENSIVE PLAN PUBLIC PARTICIPATION

We need to hear from you! Town of Riverhead is seeking public participation for the
Comprehensive Plan Update. Despite the obstacles of the 2020 pandemic, the united Town
Board has made progress in its efforts to update its Comprehensive Plan. Once completed, the
Comprehensive Plan Update will provide the Town with a roadmap for its potential growth and
evolution over the next twenty years.
The Town will be hosting the first round of public meetings in person, and via Zoom. The Town’s
consultants will explain the community engagement process and then engage attendees in open
dialogue to gather comments, questions and concerns from the community.
Given the size of the Town and expected large turnout, there will be four (4) public meetings held
at the Riverhead Senior Center, 60 Shade Tree Lane in Aquebogue. Doors will open at 5:45 pm
and the meetings will begin at 6:00 pm. The meetings will address a specific presentation for
each hamlet, and are scheduled below.
